I thought it necessary to just write a few lines about my self and the reason behind this blog. I’m your typical 20-something guy that works a 8 to 5 desk job as an accountant. My passions are animé and gaming, when I get the time for them. On the side I also manage to do some freelance game reviews for a local website which is one of my passions as it combines two of my favourite pastimes, gaming and writing. I’m a huge gamer of course and I like nothing better than to sit back and relax with some awesome games on Live and spending time with some good friends I’ve managed to make online. Add to the list my passion for good music with bands such as Radiohead, Tool and A Perfect Circle being some of my favourites. Of late I’ve also become an avid supporter of the open source software scene and a proponent of more widespread Linux usage. Most of my love of FOSS comes from my love of being on the cutting edge of technology. I love nothing better than being able to tinker with new software and hardware, so I suppose I’m a geek through and through and that’s something I’m mighty proud of. Other than that I’m also a huge film buff and love my classic and noire films with Blade Runner being one of my all time favourite films (no matter what my friends may say) as well as more modern films such as Watchmen. I’m also an avid reader although the number of books I manage to get through these days is far less than when I was a youngster, but nonetheless I still love nothing better than relaxing in a chair and losing myself in a book for an hour or two on a weekend afternoon. That just about sums up who I am and hopefully that should give you some insight into why I write about the things I do on this blog. This blog is really just a forum for me to ramble on about everything and anything that might pop into my head from time to time. Hopefully it will enlighten you about something you may not have thought about before, but if not then I just hope you have a darn good time reading my random posts.
