Being a huge footy fan it was with a huge smile on my face that I got to review FIFA 10 this year. I wasn’t able to attend the launch event for it this year but from what I hear it was quite the happening place to be. If you want to see what I thought of the game then you should make it your goal (lol) for the day to head over here and read it for yourself.

After reading a post by gamerchick02 the other day where she mentioned Google Friend Connect I thought I’d take a stab at integrating it into my blog and et voilà, Counting Beans now has Google Friend Connect functionality. There are two gadgets on the sidebar to the right of this post with one allowing you to “register” on the site and connect with it and all the other followers and another gadget that allows you to post comments on the site as a whole rather than a single post. I’ve also added the ability to log in with your Google account to post comments for single posts. Play around with it and let me know what you think!
The next two weeks will be insanely hectic for me for two reasons:
- I’m writing my qualification exam to become a registered SAIPA accountant.
- I’m best man at my friend Craig’s wedding
Now if that wasn’t bad enough, I’ll be doing both those things on the very same day so you can imagine that at the moment I’m in a bit of a panic. My studies for the SAIPA exam have not even started and I have to still get around to writing my speech for the wedding as well. So for the next two weeks or so I’ll be going into a crazed cramming session in the evenings and hopefully things should work out. I would say that my blog posts might be affected but I’m sure Craig and Ryan would say that is nothing out of the ordinary
With the release of Karmic Koala a few days away I thought it was about time that I take a duster to my PC and reinstall my Windows XP partition for the first time in 3 years since buying it. I’ve never been a fan of solving computer problems by reformatting but in this case I decided that my Windows install could use a bit of a thorough cleaning.
So with nary a backwards glance (other than the essential backing up of all my important stuff!) I popped in my XP disc, chose to delete all my old partitions and started installing from scratch and within a few hours I had a brand spanking new XP installation that runs faster than Usain Bolt and is ready to welcome the Koala this weekend.
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 is a comic book geek’s dream come true. Vicarious Visions has made a game that let’s you pick and choose from 24 of Marvel’s greatest superheroes and battle it out with hordes of enemies with up to three friends. To find out if superheroes make for a super game you’ll need to pop on over to Xboxgaming.co.za to read my full review. Of course drop a comment as well on the site if you’re played the game yourself or if you just want to say something about the review.
With the next few months packed to the brim with top notch games from all sides its important to make good gaming purchase decisions and with that in mind I present to you my review of Halo 3: ODST.
Halo is one of the biggest names on Xbox so when a new Halo game hits you can be assured that there will be plenty of people buying it. What if you’re not a Halo fan though? What if you’re just looking for a fun FPS game? Well pop over to my review of ODST on Xboxgaming.co.za and hopefully you’ll be able to see if it’s a game that you’ll like. Of course feel free to leave the usual comments, even if you hate the review. I welcome constructive criticism in fact. Read and enjoy!
